It is designed to bring spatial perception and understanding at the edge and aggregate, process, and analyze data from 3D sensors and equipment. ## Main features The **ZED Box Orin** is a ready-to-use edge AI system: an **NVIDIA® Jetson™** compute module, native **[GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-link-capture-card/gmsl2#what-is-gmsl2)** camera connectivity, and industrial-grade I/O in a compact, fanless enclosure with passive heat dissipation. ### Compute module The ZED Box Orin is available with different [NVIDIA® Jetson™ compute modules](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/autonomous-machines/embedded-systems/jetson-orin/), so you can match the computing power to the requirements of your application: * NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin Nano 8 GB - 40 TOPS * NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin NX 8 GB - 70 TOPS * NVIDIA® Jetson™ Orin NX 16 GB - 100 TOPS ### GMSL2 camera connectivity **[GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-link-capture-card/gmsl2#what-is-gmsl2)** connectivity is a **standard feature** of the ZED Box Orin. It enables high-speed, low-latency data transfer between the processing unit and your **ZED [GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-link-capture-card/gmsl2#what-is-gmsl2) cameras**, making it an ideal choice for **industrial grade applications**. * **4 [GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-link-capture-card/gmsl2#what-is-gmsl2) ports** on a single 4-wire FAKRA connector, organized in 2 groups: **A** (ports #0 and #1) and **B** (ports #2 and #3). * Compatible with **ZED X**, **ZED X Mini**, **ZED X Nano**, **ZED X One GS**, **ZED X One S**, and **ZED X One 4K** cameras. * The **GMSL2 driver is pre-installed**. Connect the cameras before powering on the device; GMSL2 cameras are not hot-pluggable, so any change requires a reboot or a restart of the ZED X daemon. The [GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/using-gmsl/) guide provides detailed information on how to use GMSL with the ZED Box Orin, including instructions on how to install the GMSL driver and configure multi-camera setups. ### Connectivity All the connection ports are available on the front panel, described in the [installation guide](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/installation#connection-panel): * 1x [GMSL2](/docs/products/embedded/zed-link-capture-card/gmsl2#what-is-gmsl2) 4-wire FAKRA camera connector * 1x 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet RJ45 with **PoE+** support * 3x USB 3.0 Type-A * 1x HDMI * 1x Micro USB2.0 Type-B for system flashing, OTG, and [serial console](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/serial-console) access * **WiFi** module with external antenna * 1x external antenna connector for the [GNSS option](#gnss-option) ### Storage memory An internal **NVMe SSD** mounted on an M.2 socket hosts the operating system and your data. Three capacities are available: * 256 GB * 1 TB * 2 TB ### Power supply The ZED Box Orin can be powered in two ways: * **DC barrel jack** (12V to 19V, up to 60W), with the provided power supply: supports all the [power modes](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/power-modes) of the Jetson module. * **PoE+**, through a PoE+-enabled network switch: up to **25.5W** for the whole system. ### Software The ZED Box Orin is shipped with a **pre-configured operating system**, including the NVIDIA® JetPack™ software stack, the **ZED SDK**, and the **GMSL2 drivers**, so it is operational out of the box. Flashing is only required to change the JetPack version or to recover the device, as described in the [flashing guide](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/reset-update). ## Options In addition to the features above, the **ZED Box Orin** can be configured with the following **options**, based on your specific needs and use cases. ### GNSS Option With the **GNSS** option, users can take advantage of the ZED Box Orin's advanced processing capabilities to create AI systems that can operate with **high precision** and **accuracy**, even in challenging environments. You can get started with setting up the GNSS module with our guide [Using GNSS with ZED Box](/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/using-gnss). The guide includes step-by-step instructions on how to **enable the GNSS module** on the ZED Box Orin and **configure** it for optimal performance. ## Hardware reference * [CAD Files](https://www.stereolabs.com/3dmodels) - the most up-to-date CAD files of all our products. ## Docs - [Install your ZED Box Orin](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/installation.md) - [Using GMSL with ZED Box Orin](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/using-gmsl.md) - [Using GNSS with ZED Box Orin](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/using-gnss.md) - [Remote access via Serial Console](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/serial-console.md) - [Flash your ZED Box Orin](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/reset-update.md) - [Power Modes](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/power-modes.md): Tune the power consumption and performance of your ZED Box Orin - [Flash your ZED Box Orin with Real-Time Kernel](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/real-time-kernel.md) - [Troubleshooting](https://docs.stereolabs.com/docs/products/embedded/zed-box-orin/troubleshooting.md)
